Hi everyone,
Background: The client used to be a part of another company but they got sold off. So now there are two companies A (original) and B (new one). As part of the deal, company B wants their own BW system. Company A is helping with that by providing an empty shell BW system into which we will load relevant data only and deliver to company B.
So here is the issue:
In the new BW system (Development environment), the delta initializations still exist. I will be deleting the old initializations for transaction data and doing a new init before doing a Full repair. However, I'm confused about whether I should do the same for Masterdata or not? Does it matter if the old init is still existing in the new system? Should I delete it and re-init with data? I understand that deleting master data is not necessary because it gets overwritten anyway.
I would appreciate a quick response.
Thanks.
